James Sirrell is a London based artist who works primarily with alternative photography and found objects to create mixed media works. His current project reimagines Van Gogh one hundred years later, living and dying as a cowboy in Kent, England. Taking the form of a series of large scale linen cyanotypes, this project explores masculinity, mental health and cinema through fantasy storytelling and allegory.

James Sirrell has studied at Central St Martins and Chelsea College of Art, and has exhibited internationally. Most recently, he has exhibited at the Courtauld in London and VOODOO55 in Berlin.
